Paul’s Joy That Christ Is Preached

12 And I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters,[a] that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good News. 13 For everyone here, including the whole palace guard,[b] knows that I am in chains because of Christ. 14 And because of my imprisonment, most of the believers[c] here have gained confidence and boldly speak God’s message[d] without fear.

Devotional:
Paul understood that his chains were not a sign of God's absence but an instrument of God's design. Romans 8:28 assures us that God works all circumstances together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Philippians 1:12-14 shows Paul recognizing that his imprisonment actually advanced the gospel rather than hindered it. When your circumstances feel like a prison, the question is not whether God has abandoned you. The question is what He is writing through you. Surrender your unanswered prayers today and trust that God's hands are still at work.
