Day 3: Waiting with Purpose

Reading: Acts 1:12-14; Psalm 27:14

The disciples spent ten days in the upper room—not idle, but intentionally seeking God through worship and prayer. Waiting isn't passive; it's active surrender to God's timing and leadership. In our achievement-oriented culture, waiting feels counterproductive. Yet spiritual power flows from dependence, not independence. When we rush ahead of God's leading, we operate in human strength. When we wait, we position ourselves to receive divine empowerment. Are you in a season of waiting? Don't waste it. Use this time to deepen your relationship with Jesus, align your heart with His mission, and prepare for what He's calling you toward. The upper room preceded Pentecost. Your waiting may be preparation for breakthrough.
