Day 5: Pierced Hearts and Transformed Lives

Reading: Acts 2:22-24, 36-41; Romans 10:9-13

Three thousand people believed in one day because the Spirit-filled disciples spoke words of fire that pierced hearts. Peter's message was simple:

Jesus died, Jesus rose, Jesus is Lord—repent and believe.

The same invitation stands before us today. Perhaps you've believed before but need to renew your commitment. Maybe areas of your life have drifted from His lordship. The call to repentance isn't just for unbelievers; it's for every follower of Jesus who recognizes the need to turn from self-rule back to God's rule. "What should we do?" the crowd asked.

The answer remains: turn to God, receive forgiveness, be filled with His Spirit.

Salvation isn't just a past decision—it's a daily surrender. Today, examine your heart. Where do you need to repent, to turn back, to call upon His name afresh? He is faithful to forgive and restore.

I agree… For me, following Jesus is a daily surrender. I’m reminded of the song “I Surrender All,” yet I often find myself adding, “I surrender all… every day.” I ask for forgiveness and for His help to keep my heart and mind focused on Him.

nThe struggles are real. The enemy is real. But God is alive, and Jesus is our Savior.
