Day 3: Healing as a Sign Pointing to Jesus
Reading: Isaiah 35:3-6; Matthew 11:2-6
Jesus didn't heal just to alleviate suffering—though His compassion is genuine and deep. Healing served as a sign, confirming His identity as the promised Messiah. When John the Baptist doubted from prison, Jesus pointed to the signs: the blind see, the lame walk, the deaf hear.
Every miracle pointed beyond itself to the greater reality of who Jesus is. Today, when God works in your life—whether through physical healing, emotional restoration, or spiritual renewal—it's meant to be a sign that points others to Christ.
How you respond to God's work in your life matters. The healed beggar didn't thank Peter; he praised God and became a living testimony. When God moves in your circumstances, let your response point others to Jesus. Share your story. Give Him glory.
Let your life be a sign that declares: He is the Messiah, and He is still at work today.

It took me a while to see the full picture of how God took care of me through my whole life. I shutter sometimes when I think about the choices I made and how I survived when I was young. I know that God’s hand has always been on me as he was leading me towards him in a way that I could’ve never done myself. It is by his grace and his love that I continue to navigate my life towards his.
