Day 3: United in Mission

Reading: Acts 4:23-31

When Peter and John were released from custody, they didn't retreat in fear—they returned to their community. The church's response reveals the power of united prayer. They didn't pray for safety or the removal of threats. Instead, they prayed for boldness to continue the mission despite opposition. Notice what happened: "the meeting place shook" and "they were all filled with the Holy Spirit." God's mission isn't accomplished by isolated individuals but through His church working together. The early believers recognized they were part of something bigger than themselves—God's kingdom plan. When we gather with other believers to worship, pray, and encourage one another, we position ourselves to experience God's power collectively.

How can you more fully engage with your church community to advance God's mission?
