Day 3: Every Blessing in Heaven

Reading: Ephesians 1:3-6
Praise for Spiritual Blessings in Christ
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he[a] predestined us for adoption to sonship[b] through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.

Devotional:
Paul does not say God has given his people some blessings or even many blessings. He says every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms belongs to those who are in Christ. This is not a promise reserved for a spiritual elite. It is the inheritance of every person who has placed their faith in Jesus. The question is not whether the blessing exists. The question is whether you are walking closely enough with him to recognize it. A child who wanders far from home may forget what provision feels like. Draw near to God today. The blessings have not moved. He has not changed his mind about you.
