Day 3: Jesus Appears
Reading: John 20:11-18
Devotional: Mary stood weeping at the tomb, looking for a dead body. She saw Jesus but didn't recognize Him—until He spoke her name. How often do we look for Jesus in the wrong places? We search for a historical figure, a religious concept, when He's standing right before us, alive and present. Jesus revealed Himself to Mary first, a woman whose testimony wouldn't have been valued in that culture. God's ways aren't our ways. He shows up when we least expect it, often in forms we don't immediately recognize. Are you looking for a dead Jesus—a memory, a tradition, a past experience? Open your eyes. He's alive, and He's calling your name today.
