Day 2: Waiting in Worship

Reading: Acts 1:4-5, 12-14; Psalm 27:14

The disciples waited ten days in the upper room, but they weren't passively sitting around. They devoted themselves to worship and prayer, recognizing God's presence even while waiting for His power. Waiting on God doesn't mean He's absent—it means we're positioning ourselves to receive His direction. In our fast-paced world, we struggle with waiting. We want immediate answers, instant direction, quick solutions. But the disciples teach us that waiting is active, not passive. They worshiped, prayed, and prepared their hearts. What if your season of waiting is actually God's invitation to draw closer to Him? Instead of asking "How long?" ask "What do You want to teach me now?" Practice being still today. Turn off distractions and simply worship, recognizing that God is already present with you.
