Day 3: God's Heart for the Vulnerable

Reading: James 1:27; Psalm 68:5-6
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress." God's heart has always been for the vulnerable, the overlooked, and the abandoned. Throughout Scripture, He identifies Himself as "a father to the fatherless, a defender of widows." When we care for vulnerable children and struggling families, we reflect God's character to the world. This isn't merely social workâit's gospel work. Every act of compassion demonstrates the love of Christ who moved toward our brokenness, not away from it. The statistics are staggering, but God sees each child as precious and irreplaceable.
Today, ask God to open your eyes to the vulnerable around you. What is your "something" that you can do?
