Day 4: Baptized and Filled with the Holy Spirit

Reading: Acts 2:14-21, 37-39; Joel 2:28-29

Peter's promise remains for us today:

"You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away."

Being filled with the Holy Spirit isn't a one-time historical event—it's God's ongoing invitation to every believer. To be filled means to be completely led, to surrender control of our words, actions, and decisions to the Spirit's guidance. The Spirit gave the disciples words to speak, languages they'd never learned, and boldness they'd never possessed. He wants to do the same for you. Being Spirit-filled doesn't mean you lose yourself; it means you find your true purpose. Have you invited the Holy Spirit to fill every area of your life? Today, pray specifically: "Holy Spirit, take control. Lead me in power. Give me Your words, Your courage, Your direction."
