The Power Of Worship In Waiting

Day 1: The Power of Worship in Waiting

Reading: Acts 1:12-14; Psalm 27:14

Devotional:

The disciples didn't wait passively after Jesus ascended to heaven—they waited actively through worship and prayer. For ten days, they gathered in the upper room, focusing entirely on God's presence. This wasn't idle time; it was transformative preparation. When we face seasons of waiting, our natural tendency is to fill the silence with distraction—entertainment, busyness, or anxiety. But the disciples teach us a better way: wait WITH God, not just FOR God. True waiting involves positioning ourselves in His presence through worship, clearing our agenda to hear His voice. What decision are you facing today? Instead of rushing ahead, create space to worship. Turn off distractions, gather with believers if possible, and invite God to lead. Worship refocuses our hearts on His faithfulness and prepares us to receive His direction with clarity and peace.
