Day 1: You Are Part of Something Bigger
Reading: Ephesians 2:19-22
19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens,[a] but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by[b] the Spirit.

Devotional:
Western culture trains us to think in terms of the individual. My faith. My salvation. My walk with God. But Paul's vision is far wider. Each believer is a single stone, and stones do not form a temple alone. The church is God's dwelling place on earth, built together, fitted together, growing together. Your faith was never meant to be lived in isolation. Today, consider whether you have been treating your relationship with God as a private arrangement. Ask God to show you where you belong in His house and who needs you beside them.

It’s easy to try to follow Jesus alone but it’s really hard to actually follow him that way. Walking together in community with other believers fortifies and strengthens our faith. When one of us falls, another will pick us up. When one of us is believing lies, the other will point us to God’s truth.
