Day 1: Called to Something Greater
Reading: Ephesians 4:1-6
4 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. 2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. 4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.
5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 one God and Father of all,
who is over all, in all, and living through all.

Devotional:
God does not call the qualified; He qualifies the called. Paul writes from prison, urging ordinary church members, not spiritual elites, to live worthy of their calling. This is a word for every believer sitting in every pew. The calling is not about performing religious duties or maintaining appearances. It is about recognizing that God has personally chosen you for a purpose that is larger than yourself. Before you can walk worthy, you must first believe you are called. Sit with that truth today. You are not an accident. You are summoned by a living God who has a plan for your life.

Write down one area of your life where you have not yet surrendered to God's calling. Bring it to Him in prayer today.
