Day 4: Unity That Testifies to the World

5-Day Devotional: Living in Unity Through God's Love

Day 4: Unity That Testifies to the World

Reading: John 17:21-23; Ephesians 4:1-6

Devotional: "May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that You sent Me." Unity among believers is not optional—it's central to our witness. Jesus prayed that our oneness would be so profound that it would convince the world of His divine mission. Yet unity doesn't mean uniformity. The Holy Spirit creates unity despite our differences in worship styles, political views, and secondary doctrinal beliefs. What separates us from the world isn't our perfection, but our love. When Democrats and Republicans worship together, when people from different backgrounds serve side-by-side, when believers choose grace over judgment—the world notices. This supernatural unity doesn't come from trying harder; it comes from surrendering to the Holy Spirit and choosing love over being right.

Reflection Question: Is there a fellow believer you need to extend grace to, setting aside differences for the sake of unity?
