Surrendering To God's Plan
Day 2: Surrendering to God's Plan
Reading: Luke 22:39-46; John 18:11
Devotional: Jesus spoke profound words to Peter: "Shall I not drink from the cup of suffering the Father has given me?" This wasn't submission to Rome or religious authorities—this was surrender to God's perfect plan. Jesus distinguished between worldly defeat and divine purpose.
God's plans don't always feel good. Sometimes they lead through valleys we wouldn't choose. Yet Jesus models for us that God's way is always the best way, even when it leads through suffering. What "cup" is God asking you to embrace today? Perhaps it's a difficult relationship, a closed door, or an unexpected hardship. Like Jesus, you can choose to surrender not to circumstances, but to the Father who sees the bigger picture. His plan is redemptive, even when the path is painful. Trust that He's working all things for good.
