His Fruit
What does it actually mean to live a life worthy of God's calling? Ephesians 4 lays out a blueprint that includes humility, gentleness, patience, love, unity, and peace. But here is where things get honest and uncomfortable: most of us have tried to manufacture these qualities through sheer willpower and good intentions, only to find ourselves exhausted and falling short. This message confronts that cycle head-on, pointing out that when we focus only on changing our outward behavior, we risk becoming well-intentioned hypocrites who look the part in some settings and abandon it in others. The real issue is not what we do on the outside but what is driving us on the inside. The central insight here is that God is not asking us to try harder. He is asking us to go deeper. When we invite the Holy Spirit to lead us from within, the fruit of love, patience, kindness, and peace becomes a natural result of that relationship rather than a performance we have to maintain. That shift from outside-in to inside-out changes everything about how we understand what it means to follow Jesus.
