His Gifts
What does it mean to be uniquely shaped for a purpose greater than ourselves? This message takes us deep into Ephesians 4, where we discover that while the church is called to reflect one Spirit, one Lord, and one faith, each of us is individually gifted in a way that is entirely our own. Drawing on Paul's words to the Ephesians, the Corinthians, and the Romans, we explore the nature of spiritual gifts and how they differ from natural talents or developed skills. The central insight is both humbling and freeing: God does not call the qualified, he qualifies the called. Spiritual gifts are not discovered through personality tests or self-reflection alone. They are given in the moment of obedience, when we say yes to God's call and step out in faith beyond our own ability. This reframes how we think about serving in the church, not as a matter of finding where we fit, but as a matter of trusting where God leads.
