Beautiful Feet

What happens when persecution threatens to destroy everything we've built? Acts 8 shows us a remarkable truth: what looks like devastation can become God's divine strategy for expansion. When Stephen became the first Christian martyr and Saul began dragging believers from their homes, the thriving Jerusalem church scattered across Judea and Samaria. Yet these weren't refugees running in defeat—they were missionaries carrying the gospel to places it had never reached. The apostles stayed behind, but ordinary believers, people just like us without seminary degrees or special callings, became the beautiful feet mentioned in Romans 10. They didn't leave Jesus behind when they left Jerusalem; they took Him everywhere they went. This passage challenges us with a profound question: Are we willing to be His beautiful feet? Not necessarily as pastors or missionaries, though God may call some to those roles, but as everyday followers who share our stories and help others discover Jesus. The church multiplied not through programs or strategies, but through willing hearts saying, 'Use me, Lord.' When we surrender to being used by God, even our most difficult circumstances become opportunities for His kingdom to expand. The scattered church became the spreading church, and that same mission continues through us today.
